We will bring the art, you bring the granola bars and juice boxes.
Individual artists are joining together to have a show in the former Muskegon Savings Bank and are inviting everyone to come.
But the artists want you to do more than just look. Artists will be working on pieces through the day, for you to watch and OBSERVE. (Ask them questions!)
AND
Some artists will have pieces for kids to help CREATE!
In fact, everyone is welcome to create artwork at the paper sack decorating station. Muskegon Kids Food Basket will use the sacks to package dinners for food insecure school children.
There is more.
Muskegon Kids Food Basket needs $30,000 to expand to a second elementary school. To help MKFB reach this goal each artist is donating a piece of artwork, of which the proceeds from the sale will go directly to MKFB.*
That is correct, this is an effort to help feed school kids!
So why not throw a food drive into the mix?
If you can, it would be great if you could help the artists attack childhood hunger by bringing a box of granola bars, or a pack of 100% fruit juice boxes to help stock the Muskegon Kids Food Basket shelves. Unopened jars of peanut butter, bulk pretzels, and gelatin cups are also cool.
FREE and Open to the Public
This isn't your grandma's art show.
(But she is welcome to come so bring her along!)
*Other artwork will be available for sale too, to help feed the artists.
